The Six Steps to Success programme is supported by mandatory stand alone education modules which include communication skills, advance care planning and Liverpool Care Pathway for the dying patient training. This education should be arranged at key points along the programme and the delivery of this education is to be agreed in each local area delivering the programme. It could also include any other education providing theory and underpinning knowledge, for example symptom management. |
The mandatory education will occur at two points during the programme, between Step 2 and 3 and between Step 5 and 6.
