This 2 day intermediate level workshop has been designed to meet the communication skills training needs of those staff who do not require the Connected© 2 day Advanced Communication Skills Training.
The course is aimed at staff working in health and social care, primarily with patients and family members during the last year of life or those living with a long-term condition.
Each workshop is designed to provide the eight participants with the opportunity to build on existing communication skills and experience. This experiential workshop, involving role play, provides participants with the chance to enhance existing skills and develop confidence when presented with communication challenges, such as dealing with anger or an end of life discussion.
This course, previously delivered by the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network (LSCCN), is now managed by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
The price of the workshop is £420 but LSCCN and Cumbria and Lancashire End of Life Network fund places on these courses for staff working in key roles within cancer and end of life services.
Please ensure that your application has the support of your line manager. We will make every effort to allocate you a place on your first choice workshop. You must be able to commit for the full 2 days.
