We have tried to build a team of people with a wealth of knowledge, skills, expertise and influence to form our Network Board; providing representation from as many groups as possible within Cumbria and Lancashire.
The result is a very large team!
The membership of the group changes regularly as new people are added as we find a hole to fill. Our latest recruit is someone to give a voice to homeless people who struggle to access services and are at high risk of dying.
As the Board membership is so large we have divided into smaller teams with different priorities. The Network Board is made up of the Core Group and the Green Group.
At its simplest the Core Group deals with issues around commissioning, strategy and the implementation of the overall end of life care agenda.
The Green Group focuses on Advance Care Planning, training and education and was originally created to look at issues around the first phases of the North West End of Life Care Model.
Both groups continue to evolve in terms of membership and agenda adapting to changes in local needs and the national end of life care agenda.
